12 in PSA Silicon Carbide (SiC) Grinding Paper

12 in PSA silicon carbide (SiC) grinding paper discs are designed for metallographic laboratories using large-format platens where secure mounting and consistent surface contact are critical. The pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing ensures flat, slip-free attachment during extended grinding cycles and high material removal rates.

This collection includes 12 in (300 mm) diameter SiC grinding paper discs across a complete range of grit sizes. Grits from 60/P60 through 600/P1200 are electrostatically coated to support aggressive, uniform material removal during coarse and intermediate grinding. Fine grits from 800/P2400 through 1200/P4000 are slurry coated, providing improved abrasive retention and enhanced control during precision grinding steps prior to polishing.

PSA-backed 12 in SiC grinding paper is commonly used on floor-standing and automated grinding systems for the preparation of steels, aluminum alloys, copper alloys, and cast materials. These discs are compatible with most standard 12 in platens and integrate seamlessly into high-throughput metallographic preparation workflows.
