Metallographic Compression Mounting
When it comes to mounting a metallographic specimen, compression mounting is widely regarded as the preferred option.
PHENOLIC POWDER RESIN
For a cost-effective approach, colored phenolic resins are highly recommended. PhenoMount, available in black, red, and green colors, offers an economical solution.
EPOXY POWDER RESIN
In the case of harder materials like heat-treated steels and titanium, we suggest using EpoMount, a mineral-filled epoxy. This mounting compound enhances the edge retention of any metallographic sample, thanks to its hardness.
CONDUCTIVE POWDER RESIN
To cater to SEM analysis requirements, we provide CarbonMount, a conductive mounting compound. This blend of graphite and phenolic eliminates the need for sputter coating your sample, as it offers the necessary conductivity.
