8″ PSA Silicon Carbide (SiC) Grinding Paper

8 inch PSA silicon carbide (SiC) grinding paper discs are designed for metallographic laboratories that require secure disc mounting, fast changeovers, and repeatable grinding performance. The pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing provides flat, slip-free attachment to the platen, making these discs ideal for routine and high-throughput grinding operations.

This collection includes 8″ (200 mm) diameter SiC grinding paper discs across a full range of grit sizes. Grits from 60/P60 through 600/P1200 are electrostatically coated for efficient material removal and consistent scratch patterns during coarse and intermediate grinding. Fine grits from 800/P2400 through 1200/P4000 are slurry coated, offering improved abrasive retention and greater control during precision grinding steps prior to polishing.

PSA-backed 8″ SiC grinding paper is commonly used on benchtop and floor-standing grinding systems for the preparation of steels, aluminum alloys, copper alloys, and cast materials. These discs are compatible with most standard 8″ platens and integrate easily into standardized metallographic preparation workflows.
